Givenchy was born in 1927 by Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy. In the same year, the house earned massive success with the presented collection. Under Hubert de Givenchy, clear lines, high waists, oversized hats and loud colours characterised the style of the brand. After 4o years the founder was succeeded by some of fashion’s great creative talents, among them John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Riccardo Tisci.
